I like to think I’m a pro at Sheet Masks. Well, if you see the number of sheet masks that are stashed in my vanity…
Oh well, we all have that soft spot for somethings, mine is for masks, clay, peel off, sheet, all that goes with being a crazy mask lady! Hahaha…
Let’s get a bit into what Skin Republic is all about.
Skin Republic is the No. 1 Sheet Mask Brand that I know of. Their development & production facility is based in South Korea, the current uncrowned ruler in skincare!
Skin Republic products as well as packaging are completely Biodegradable. They also do not ever test on animals. Most of the ingredients are plant derived and responsibly sourced making these masks kinder to the skin and to the environment. This itself speaks volumes about Skin Republic as an ethical and conscious brand.
Coming back to the title of this post, this particular mask made me switch to HYDROGEL masks. Skin Republic Retinol is the first Hydrogel mask that I tried. Hydrogel masks are by far the most genius discovery in the sheet mask universe.
Remember the struggle of trying to fit the sheet mask on to your face? Yeah, that! That’s a thing of the past now. Hydrogel fits like second skin. you won’t even know it’s there. I absolutely would love to trade all my existing sheet masks for a handful of Hydrogel ones. Honest!
What is the Retinol sheet mask & Under Eye patches all about? Ever heard of Instant Gratification? Yeah, that’s what the Retinol Masks from Skin Republic are all about.
Retinyl Palmitate, a part of the retinoid family which boosts cell turnover, reduces dark spots & pigmentation, boosts collagen production. Basically, it makes the skin look fresh and radiant while working on the spots and fine lines.
Jojoba & Chamomile, anti inflammatory properties of these 2 help reduce the redness from acne, help soothing and calming the skin, helps with cleansing, oil control & slows down the aging process of the skin.
Niacinamide, promotes even skin tone & texture, improves skin elasticity & suppresses melanin from reaching the surface of the skin.
I put the eye patches on and then top it with the face sheet so that both can work simultaneously. The elasticity of my skin improved almost instantaneously, my panda eyes were visibly lighter & my overall face was smooth, soft and hydrated. I actually repurchased a couple of these for my sheet mask stockpile.
Skin Republic sheet masks are extremely pocket friendly so you could actually indulge in them twice or thrice a week.
Do you agree that Hydrogel sheet masks are a lot more user friendly than the original sheet masks? Let me know in the comments!
I’m currently half dead on the couch, writhing in period cramps with a sheet mask on my face and a cold coffee in my hand, watching ‘Good Witch’ for the 5th time!!
