Red is a classic but sadly no longer the only reigning color for lips. Did you really think that the only trendy color in lips will be ‘Red’? Hell no!!! The catwalks of Fashion week were buzzing with new & inspired hot lips for Autumn Winter 2016!! From luminous neons or full on gloss to romantic dark hues to timeless reds, the colors were truly dramatic this season!
Here’s what the catwalk lips looked like this season.
Maxmara Jeremy Scott
There!! You see the amount of drama that these lipsticks have added? I love the darker hues. I’ve been living with a lot of nudes and pinks all my life,of course with the classic red making an appearance on occasions. It’s time to add some spice to my look! Nudes look great, but you do need that pop of drama from time to time. Add that sass!
Lipstick Queen has some amazing shades which are spot on with the trends this season.
I loooove this shade!! I’ve been meaning to go darker with my lipsticks & ‘Possessed Intense’ is definitely a good reason to start with! The Dark Lip was spotted on many runways including Dior, Marni, Rodarte and Rihanna for Puma. Dark is the new romantic & I love it!!
This one is super glossy & non sticky! The glossy lip was a popular choice spotted at Dior, Max Mara and Peter Pilotto. Glossy lipsticks add volume and fullness to the lips. Go for it if you desire a wet luscious look.
A neon pink that’s hotter than hot gives an ultra fresh look which is both strong & feminine. Electric fluorescent shades made their way across the catwalks at Jeremy Scott, MSGM and Marc Jacobs. This is a gorgeous shade, but I don’t think I can carry it off. maybe someday…
This gorgeous creamy coral shade works well on all complexions. But it’s best to try it on and see how you like it. As seen at Paco Rabanne and Fendi, pastel lips from turquoise to tangerine hues were big news. This striking pop of colour works best when the rest of your make up is kept natural.
The Classic Red, always a favorite. A true red lip never goes out of style and Cushnie et Ochs, Joseph and Pringle were just a few designers who sent their models down the runway with an arresting, red lip inspired by the vintage glamour and decadence of 1920’s. I love my Reds and will never stop buying Red Lipsticks even though I have around 14 in my lipstick drawer! Shhhhhh…..
Lipstick Queen range is available at major stores like Bloomingdales, Harvey Nichols, Paris Gallery, Areej or online at www.beautysolutions-me.com.
