Interior styles today are more about an extension of your personality in the décor of your home. Designers and home makers are now focusing on that one singular signature piece in the Lounge or the living room of their home which invariably becomes a topic of discussion.
Be it a piece of art or an exclusive sculpture for the Soho genre of the elitist club, or a fantastically creative mirror, it’s bound to inspire awe.
I’m of the later genre so I completely believe in discreet but impressionable glamour which, I must say a mirror can create.
This beautiful Arabian style mirror by the Lebanese brand Nada Debs is intricate and stunning. It’s a handcrafted design using the traditional inlay techinque to set mother of pearl or brushed brass in clear resin. I loved this gold version priced at AED 9,950.00. This Arabian Nights Mirror is available only at Bits & Pieces, Muroor Road, Abu Dhabi.

This is a beautiful mash up between the classic and urban styles from Nakkash Gallery. You will love the feel of Luxury in their showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road. This Montyone mirror fits right in with a clean urban look and seems right at home even in a classic setting.
Another of my favorite places for Mirrors is The One on Jumeirah Beach Road, almost every wall in their showroom has a brilliant creation of a mirror on it.
This is the Sunburst Mirror from The One. Very stylish & Contemporary. This would look great in an urban setting. This adds that touch of Glamour when placed on a wall and will not need any other adornments. I’m thinking a dark wall painted just to house this mirror. Royal Blue maybe?
This Pedestal Mirror from the Hollywood Collection – The One, is one of my absolute favorites. It instantly transforms the room to give it a 70’s look. It would look brilliant with some floor lamps around it to add the mystique.
Mirrors and Lamps are two of my most favorite accessories. If placed stylishly, these add a lot of glamour and the ever elusive Oomph to any home.
What are your favorite accessories for your home? I would love to know!
Until my next rendezvous…
