Nothing spells Dazzle more clearly than Hollywood!
I love the 20’s & 50’s style of Hollywood. It was always so grand & lush & always looked fit for a diva. There was a lot of velvet & gold and maroons. Of course there was the other side which was earthy tones with hues of gold. There was always a lot of lamps & mirrors & buttons, lots of buttoned furniture. Suede, leather, drapes, lights, wow! It was all a little intimidating but grand by all means.
If this sounds like what your style of furniture should be, then you’ll be as floored as I was when I saw the amazing new collection from ‘The One’. It’s an opulently feminine collection named ‘So Hollywood’. I feel this collection has cleverly infused the modern neutrals into the grandeur of Hollywood. This adaptation keeps it elegant and not totally over the top garish which constituted some part of the 20’s to 50’s era.
Featuring an elegantly neutral color palette of cream, beige and gold with powder blue accents, this romantic look is all about luxe fabrics, sumptuously buttoned furniture, reflective surfaces and making you feel like a star!
Kick-start your home fashion production by casting a classic, beautifully buttoned creamy velvet sofa and armchair in the lead roles. Co-star them alongside delicate coffee and side tables, grand gold velvet curtains, lush leather floor cushions and a glitzy mirrored pedestal, topped with a fabulous bouquet of white lilies. Introduce the powder blue story line by way of a fashionably faded hand woven rug, curvaceous vase and wall art of 1950s bathing beauties. Now create some drama in the lighting department with a stunning Art Deco-inspired crystal chandelier and matching wall sconce plus a pair of glazed ceramic table lamps. Once set, drape yourself diva-like over the sofa and get ready for your time of fame!
The entire collection is brilliant, but my favorites are the buttoned sofas and the pedestal mirror. That’s an instant recipe to Hollywood living.
Until the next turn of century furniture lures me…
