I’ve always been a fan of lamps & lanterns throwing the silhouettes of light in intricate design on the wall around where they are placed. The soft glow emitting from a lantern or a floor lamp is an instant mood changer. I love experimenting with lanterns in interesting sizes & vivid designs. They add a lot of glamour to any setting.
The new Ramadan collection lanterns from Fiore Rosso have piqued my interest. I love their mix of traditional Arabic designs merged with the contemporary minimalism & modern colors. There is a lot of Moroccan influence in the style & colors used for this collection which is why I fell in love with these lamps! I’m probably the only one who religiously visits the Morocco pavilion year after year & still manage to be awed by the intricacy in their lamps!
They have preserved gold & copper for the traditional classics like the copper hanging lamp with hues of sea green & lime yellow or even one of my favorites, the yellow glimmer lamp which is allegedly an outdoor lamp but I would love to group it with a few more of lamps in the corner of my living room to add that oomph to my existing setting. Lamps & lanterns always tend to have a calming effect on me.
Interestingly, Fiore Rosso has fused classic silver with Fuchsia for the modern look. Quite apt, considering the gen x are not big fans of yellow gold.
The collection is a more a reminiscent of the glorious past of the Arabic heritage. An ethnic collection of luxury lamps at a surprisingly affordable price. I’m floored that the price range is anywhere between AED 90 to AED 200. It’s clearly a steal at this price. You can check out the collection at any of their stores in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. I’m torn between the yellow glimmer & the copper hanging lamp. Hmmm decisions decisions…
I’ve stumbled upon this fabulous universe in home decor in the hip new art district at Al Quoz… tasters in the next post…
